U.S. presidential candidate Russell Cohen is an independently minded social moderate and fiscal conservative, the basis of which comes from his abiding Christian faith. He values honesty, kindness, humility, love, transparency, challenging work, giving back, and respect and dignity for all. Even though it does not always appear so in the news, he believes most of his fellow citizens feel the same way. Russell is running for President of the United States of America as an independent candidate in 2024.
For forty years Russell Cohen has successfully navigated American business and entrepreneurship as an ethical revenue earner and led by example as he developed talent through authentic guidance, integrity, and mentorship. A strong customer service focus, experience with a wide variety of clients, businesses, and events, and the ability to focus team energy, resolve conflict, drive consensus, and deliver customer satisfaction are all important facets of his leadership ability and style.
His early leadership experience came as a software development manager for AT&T where he was designated by the firm as a future boardroom executive. He then moved into business and office management closer to home before discovering a love for residential and commercial real estate management. In the early 1990s, he built a commercial property management company from the ground up before joining the Orlando offices of Gaedeke Landers, headquartered in Dallas, and later Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL), headquartered in Chicago.
Over the course of his career as a residential and commercial real estate manager and investor, Russell gained extensive experience in managing commercial and residential portfolios and owner-occupied facilities, while fine tuning his strong business acumen, financial intelligence, people management, and communication skills along the way. He oversaw some of the largest and most prestigious office buildings in Orlando, including the Orange County Courthouse Complex and the Bank of America Center.
Today, Russell is semi-retired. Taking early retirement from his real estate career at 47, he leveraged his talents and became a stock market and real estate investor and portfolio manager, which has also given him the space to pursue his political interest of influencing national social and fiscal policy. He founded his second company, HRC LLC, in March 2019.
Cohen has lived his entire life in Florida. He was raised in Deland and graduated from Deland High School with honors. He studied computer science and business administration at Furman University (Greenville, SC) and soon went on to graduate from Crummer School of Business at Rollins College (Winter Park, FL).
Russell and his wife of two years, Laurie, live in Eustis, Florida. He has three adult sons. Russell is 63 years old.
